Purchase Prize Awards

A purchase prize is a cash award and purchase of artwork by a Home or Business who would like their building painted by artists in Sylvania Plein Air. The property owner offers an amount of their choice as a cash prize in exchange for a painting and selects the painting they’d like to keep in exchange for the cash prize.

Athena Art Society Award | $250

The Athena Art Society is an organization of women artists founded in 1903 to promote and develop visual art and stimulate community participation in art in the region.

The Athena Plein Air Award is given to an artwork that demonstrates individuality, innovation in the medium and creative excellence. Preference given to an artwork that has not received other awards and is open to artworks of any media.
