8 years strong! This October celebrates 96 Red Bird Art Walks in Downtown Sylvania. Red Bird’s mission started as a way to offer local artists a new opportunity to showcase their work and build a community that celebrates the arts in a cool way. The goal? – to not only gain a better appreciation of the arts but to also embrace the arts while highlighting our growing business community of boutiques, breweries, art galleries, salons and specialty stores.
When foot traffic was limited and the town was quiet, creatives gathered together to inspire a small town with big city ideas. Monthly First Fridays have become the defining character of our town. Our Red Bird – with his quirky ideas and playful themes, has taken on a mascot appeal – regionally recognized and admired for his willful spirit and unabashed confidence, sparked by the need to gather and be a part of something bigger than our individual selves.
This October 6th, join us in celebrating our 8th anniversary! Live music with the Katzenjammer German Band, lots of local Oktober craft beer options from Upside Brewery and Inside the Five, new art exhibitions, October specials, smiles and plenty of Red Bird celebration.
