For the Birds presented by Wild Birds Unlimited and Red Bird Sylvania
Our Red Bird Sylvania First Friday will be all about the birds. Enjoy new art exhibits, unique bird products and gifts all throughout downtown. Galleries and boutiques will be on full display with live music, entertainment, DORA, food trucks and more!
Our For the Birds themed First Friday will showcase the warbler migration and highlight our native birds in the Oak Openings region. Sign up for birding tours in Harroun Park and learn more about the Oak Openings region and birds with The Nature Conservancy, Natures Nursery and other local environmental organizations.
Join the Red Bird fun as we celebrate Birding Week in Sylvania. Highlights include (updated weekly).
- Bird theme art exhibit openings at Hudson Gallery and Fuller Art House
- The Heritage Sylvania Museum will have tips on attracting birds to your back yard
- Natures Nursery will be joining us with live birds including an American Kestrel
- The Nature Conservancy will have an educational exhibit on Oak Openings plants
- The Sylvania Tree Commission will have a booth highlighting trees and wildflowers that are good for pollinators
- Oak Openings Region Conservation (OORC) will be sharing important info on the Oak Openings Region
- Wild Birds Unlimited will have essential bird products on hand.
